Oh Michelangelo

I am taking a pre-twenty century class as a requirement to graduate. It is a class everything about Michelangelo. His life, art, sexuality, style-;everything you name it. My professor has her doctor degree thus she not your average teacher. She is the sweetest lady you would know but she can drain your soul with Michelangelo knowledge. So, I made a drawing dedicated to her vast wisdom.

I am trying to have a limited color palette to test my limitation.

This is my halloween poster assignment. These have to be my most nastiest color combination I have ever made. The results are pretty awesome but I really despise that color; it is such an eyesore!

Fabric Printing

I am new to fabric printing. Taking a class towards fabric printing is a new way on marketing my art and it is a different way than I normally tend to work. I did a test run on a totem pole character that I designed.
Sorry the image was too huge even for the 11x17 scanner.

One of Those Days

Sometimes the wait on my own critique causes my mind to start drift elsewhere. As I was waiting, I started doodling on the chipboard on my desk. It is nice once in a while to start drawing for my own sake ;it really is a stress reliever.

That bunny represents how tired I am due to the fact I am taking 18 credits as a senior.

Children Book Spread

I have been working for hours on photoshop coloring and editing a children book spread for two days. It has finally paid off. I did a spread on the Filipino folk story on "The Legend of the Mango". In a nut shell it is about a boy with a sweet heart. When he became ill a fairy took his heart and planted it. When the village people discovered a tree, it's fruit were shaped of a heart and it was the sweetest fruit they have ever ate.
I had to lower the image quality in order to actually upload it. Soon enough, I will make a better site to store my art work in much better quality.

Welsh Corgi

I always love the Welsh Corgi. Everything about them is too cute especially their nub of a tail. It a tiny little pom pom that wiggles on their butts! For my Corgi apperication I made a watercolor of it with puppy eyes.
How can anyone say no to this dog?

Greeting Card

School started and I am already piled with loads of homework. On my illustration class, I picked an assignment dealing with greeting cards. I decided to make a mother's day theme card since I wanted to show my appreciation for my own mother . Once this project is done I will send it to her as a surprise gift-hopefully she will feel the love!

This is the sketch. I decided to remove the butterfly and keep it simple with basic flowers.

this is the outcome of the sketch in color
